...Y'know, I really don't get this place! I mean... what is it?

And what do we do with 'em? Y'know, those creatures you see everywhere! Like, I got one here... don't think you can see it but I don't even know how to use this thing!

Anyways, it says it's happy, so I guess that's good... but what do you do with 'em?

Geeze, this ain't any easier than raisin' Giet was!

So uh... yeah, lemme know, okay?

They're pokemon! You train them and make 'em fight each other to see who's strongest. And whoever wins gets more EXP!
homeofthebraviary: (▶ ᴀᴇʀɪᴀʟ ᴀᴄᴇ)

[personal profile] homeofthebraviary 2013-05-18 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Well they're also your friends, y'know? Like pets. They're pretty smart!
homeofthebraviary: (▶ ᴄʜᴀʀᴍ)

[personal profile] homeofthebraviary 2013-05-24 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, they've all got different personalities. Some of the wild ones are mean though so watch out! If their levels are too high it won't listen to you, even if you catch it.
homeofthebraviary: (▶ sʜɪғᴛ ɢᴇᴀʀ)

[personal profile] homeofthebraviary 2013-05-24 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
But you need to catch them to fight, so you can round out your team.

[personal profile] homeofthebraviary 2013-05-24 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
Well if you get more badges, eventually you can get 'em to listen to you no matter how high their level is.

[personal profile] homeofthebraviary 2013-05-24 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
You catch 'em at low levels and train 'em up! By the time they're ready to take on the gyms you'll be really close.
homeofthebraviary: (I AM a bad enough dude)

[personal profile] homeofthebraviary 2013-05-24 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
Once you catch 'em, they gotta listen to you.
homeofthebraviary: (chillin' out maxin')

[personal profile] homeofthebraviary 2013-05-25 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
They just do. Some kind of coding in the pokeballs.
homeofthebraviary: (:|)

[personal profile] homeofthebraviary 2013-06-06 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
Nothing's wrong with me! What's wrong with you?
homeofthebraviary: (DICKS)

[personal profile] homeofthebraviary 2013-06-06 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
It's not messing with their heads! It just tames 'em and calms 'em down.
homeofthebraviary: (▶ ɢʟᴀʀᴇ)

[personal profile] homeofthebraviary 2013-06-06 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
Well duh! It's not like you can fit them in balls, either. It's totally different.

[What the fuck.]
stfuscarab: (Oh okay.)

They're Pokemon and the one you have is your partner. You can fight battles and stuff. Or just hang out with it, I guess.
stfuscarab: (Ummmmmmmmm.)

[personal profile] stfuscarab 2013-05-20 05:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, you can always catch more than one...form your own team. And battle the gym leaders and other trainers or breed them or something. That's really all I know so far.
stfuscarab: (Oh hey there.)

[personal profile] stfuscarab 2013-05-28 04:54 pm (UTC)(link)
[It took everything in Jaime not to laugh at the balls comment because he's actually 6 instead of 16. BUT ANYWAY.]

Yeah. You use them to catch other Pokemon. Of course, it helps to weaken them, first.

I guess it does now that I think about it. But from what I've seen around here, a lot of the Pokemon don't mind having trainers.

But you don't have to catch them if you don't want to.
justanexpression: (Not... Saying... Anything...)

[personal profile] justanexpression 2013-05-18 03:54 pm (UTC)(link)
You fight 'em. Mostly.

At least that's what people told me when I started, and all of mine seem to like it.

[Well, except Dingle, but he's still a Magikarp and doesn't count.]
justanexpression: (Default)

[aaaaaaand that should have been voice, but I fails at that stuff, yup]

[personal profile] justanexpression 2013-05-18 04:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Depends on what else you want there to be.

I'm working with one of mine to make an awesome stack of snowballs, but he's got a ways to go still.
justanexpression: (super evil snowball)

[personal profile] justanexpression 2013-05-18 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
It doesn't have to be snowing. He's got ice-type moves.

There's like... different types, that can all do different things, you know? Some of 'em can make fire or water or whatever, and Phil can make ice.
justanexpression: (This is cooler than expected.)

[y halo thar, video~]

[personal profile] justanexpression 2013-05-24 12:53 am (UTC)(link)
[Allow Jack to help with that by flipping his own feed to video first. Ignore the fact that he looks a bit like he's been tromping through the woods for weeks. He... uh... has. Sort of. It's complicated.]

So, it won't be quite as great cause it's so hot, but... hold on. [Phil's been staying in his pokeball quite a bit because of the heat, and he looks a little peeved when Jack summons him. It's an amusing look on a Seel.]
justanexpression: (Yeah.. well... I am adorable...)

[personal profile] justanexpression 2013-05-24 04:00 pm (UTC)(link)
He's a Seel.

[Maybe a touch snappy in the heat, oops?]

And he's still a water-type right now, but he likes the cold a lot more than the hot, so yeah, maybe he's kinda upset with me.

['Kinda' is an understatement, but Phil is generally goodnatured and this is no exception. He huffs, flopping flat and waiting to see what Jack wants.]

Name's Jack, by the way. Jack Frost. Not guy.
justanexpression: (Default)

[personal profile] justanexpression 2013-05-28 06:13 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not that unusual. Electric-types can make lightning and fire-types can make fire, too.

[Which is exactly why he will never have a fire-type, nope.]

Okay. [He turns the gear to face Phil completely.] Wanna show Moses what you can do, Phil? One Ice Shard, and you're back in your ball.

[The Seel just looks at the gear and the trainer behind it for a moment before huffing a great sigh and pushing itself upright. The attack is half-hearted at best, but it does still make a fairly impressive ice ball.]
justanexpression: (Am I gonna have fun with you...)

[personal profile] justanexpression 2013-06-03 06:45 pm (UTC)(link)
[Yeah, well, Seels are pretty awesome, it's true.]

Anytime he wants, anyway.
